Suspense

Suspense is a feeling of uncertainty and anxiety about the outcome of certain actions within a film or story. In film different techniques are used to give the audience a feeling of suspense whilst watching a clip from a movie.

The Shining (1980)

In a clip from the movie " The Shining", suspense is built through various techniques such as Camera.
Firstly, there is an over the shoulder shot which tracks the movements of the boy on the tricycle a middle a shot shows him riding through an deserted hall. The fact that he is alone makes the audience assume that he is vulnerable, this adds to the suspense because we don't know where he's going and why it makes the audience question.

  1. You need to add your names (in full, as they appear on your ID card)in the 'label' part of the post - you should seperate them with commas, so that i can search for your individual work as well as look at the whole blog.
